Got up a bit early, so I’d have enough time to wake up before the ultrasound. Grabbed some coffee while the computer booted, then parked on SL. Got on ArcheAge and did my usual morning “chores.”
The ultrasound was at 9. It went fine, they never tell you anything anymore, you have to wait to hear from the doctor.
Headed back home and took care of my free book and paid emails, then got back on ArcheAge. Thought better of it, since I had some things I could get done around the house, so logged back off.
Took care of the dishes, then asked Casey what he wanted for lunch. I gave him the choice between Culver’s, McDonald’s, or Mac & Cheese or Chicken Nuggets from home. He chose Culver’s, so we got ready and headed out.
After lunch it was time to head to La Crosse for the follow up doctor appointment. He’d spoken to the doctor that reviewed the ultrasound, and also reviewed the images himself, and showed them to me. I have a couple cysts in my uterus. There’s the one that measures about 4 mm, still there and the same size, and another slightly larger that they hadn’t picked up on the first ultrasound. He believes they are the result of what’s called Ablation-Ligation syndrome. When someone has had a tubal, and then an ablation after, sometimes not all the uterus gets burned because it’s blocked from the tubal. This can cause pockets of fluid to form in the uterus, hence cysts showing on the ultrasound. It doesn’t explain the symptoms I’d had, but does explain the ultrasound images. He wanted to do an endometrial biopsy, and I consented. That was painful. He dilated my cervix so he could stick a catheter up to my uterus and perform the biopsy. It was like unexpected really bad menstrual cramps. It bothered my anxiety more than anything, though.
I believe I was pregnant, but that it wouldn’t have been a viable pregnancy anyway. That I would have miscarried regardless. I’d had pregnancy symptoms that eventually faded, right around the time I passed the tissue post-colposcopy. I wonder if it was just a chemical pregnancy all along? The passing of tissue could be simply a result of the colposcopy itself.
Anyway, after the appointment I called my dad’s phone number to talk to him about what was going on, but my mom answered anyway. I gave her the choice, if she wanted me to tell her or tell my dad. She said I could tell her. I explained that, they’d been doing testing since I’d had the symptoms, and found the cysts, and did a biopsy. She pushed for me to get my hormone levels tested, but I’m not sure if they would even do that. I can ask, I suppose. But they’re not going to do hormone therapy regardless, so I’m not sure there’s a point. It would certainly show if I’m having an out-of-the-ordinary PMDD flare up, at least. But, since my symptoms have passed anyway, again, not sure there’s a point.
Headed back home and got back on ArcheAge, and Casey got back to Super Mario Maker. I got some labor potions so I could do some things that needed doing — processing ores into ingots. Then I found some land that I could afford for my tree farm, and bought that. The taxes for all the properties would go up, but it wasn’t too bad.
I tried getting into a reset raid, but it was a chaotic mess and I ended up leaving the raid instead of trying to catch up to the group. I saw others had left as well, wonder if for all the same reason.
Got Casey to bed when it was time, but he kept knocking on the wall. I finally called his name, and he got upset saying he was thirsty and thought I wouldn’t let him get out of bed. I told him to get up and get a drink, and explained to him that if he ever needed to get out of bed it was ok. Even if he was just sad or lonely and needed to pet a cat. That he needed to not get out of bed unless he really needed to, but that I wouldn’t get upset with him for getting out of bed if he did need to. He got his drink, pet Max, and then headed back to bed.
I got back to ArcheAge and worked on my Perinoor Ruins honor quest. I was on the last stage of the honor quests for a few places, and didn’t know what else to do since I was waiting on another raid so I could get more Hiram gear. I waited after I was done with the Perinoor honor quest to see if there would be a raid I could join, but there wasn’t so I ended up just going to bed instead.
